Job summary

Tetra Tech's Jacksonville team is seeking a Water/Wastewater EIT or PE with 2–8 years’ experience to support planning, design and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects. You will work on distribution systems, gravity sewers, force mains and pipelines, with potential involvement in pump stations and treatment facilities.

The role emphasizes design analysis, documentation, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Familiarity with the engineering design process including planning, permitting, construction docs, cost estimating, and construction support.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD preferred.
Strong technical writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and design of municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses for water distribution, gravity sewers, and reclaimed water pipelines.
Support pump station and treatment facility improvements.
Prepare engineering reports, memoranda, and documentation.
Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist permitting and coordination with local agencies and utilities.
Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observation as needed.
Support project documentation and QA/QC reviews.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
