Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern / Early Career Engineer to support our Water/Wastewater team. You will work with experienced engineers on projects that improve communities by delivering water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.

This role offers hands‑on exposure across planning, design, and construction support, helping you apply coursework to real projects while developing core civil design and calculation skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Senior year or recent graduate in Civil Engineering, or ABET-accredited program.
• Coursework related to water resources, hydraulics, or infrastructure design.
• Interest in FE exam and EIT certification encouraged.
• Exposure to CAD/3D design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support facilities, pipelines, conveyance systems, and related civil infrastructure.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare drawings and reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams across project phases.
• Participate in site visits and field assignments as needed.
• Develop understanding of design standards and project requirements.
