Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc (GPI) seeks a Civil Engineer specializing in Water/Wastewater to join our Erie, PA office. The role requires a PE license in Pennsylvania and at least 5 years of water/wastewater experience.

You will design and manage projects across water, wastewater, and stormwater, prepare plans, review infrastructure designs, interact with clients, and support new business development while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of water/wastewater experience; PE license in PA required.
• Knowledge of PA regulations for sanitary sewers and water/wastewater treatment.
• Ability to work across multiple design disciplines and meet schedules.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Read/write/understand plans and directions in English.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel; Outlook, SharePoint, Teams for communication.
• Able to traverse construction sites and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare calculations and specifications for water, wastewater, stormwater, and municipal projects.
• Prepare project plans for process water/wastewater, instrumentation and controls, site plans, and utility plans for approval and construction.
• Review civil engineering plans for compliance with codes.
• Evaluate stormwater permits and plans.
• Interact with clients regarding ongoing and future public works projects.
• Attend staff and municipal board meetings as needed.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets/schedules.
• Prepare technical documents/reports.
• Stay informed on water/wastewater tech and join professional societies.
• Support new business development and assist with RFPs.
• Mentor junior staff and review project assignments.
