Job summary
GPI is seeking a Civil Engineer - Municipal design professional to join our Western PA office in Erie, PA. Candidates must hold a Professional Engineer License in the state of Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities include designing water, wastewater, and municipal projects, preparing plans and specifications, reviewing development plans, and supporting client relations and business development in a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of water/wastewater experience.
- Professional Engineer license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Knowledge of PA sanitary sewers and water/wastewater treatment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare calculations and specifications for water, wastewater, stormwater, and municipal projects.
- Prepare project plans for process water/wastewater, instrumentation and controls, site plans, and utility plans.
- Review civil engineering plans for public infrastructure, private, commercial, and residential developments.
- Evaluate stormwater management permits and plans.
- Interact with clients regarding ongoing and future public works projects.
- Attend staff and municipal board meetings as needed.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Prepare technical documents and reports.
- Support business development and assist with proposals.
