Job summary

Burgess & Niple in Orlando, FL is seeking a Water/Wastewater Civil Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience in design and consulting on local municipal projects.

You will work with experienced engineers, assist with drawings, cost estimates, and specifications using AutoCAD, REVIT and GIS, and support field inspections. Typical schedule is 20-30 hours per week, Fall 2026, with parking provided at the site.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Completion of at least one year of coursework required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn design tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn design analysis skills for water/wastewater projects.
• Assist with project drawings, cost estimates, and specifications using AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Support field work including inspections and construction-related services.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop construction plans and drawings.
