Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of crew experience.
• Must read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Must possess a current Texas Driver License and be insurable.
• Must obtain a Class C Water Distribution License within 12 months of hire.
• Must complete required safety and water distribution courses within 6 months of hire.
• Must have good communication skills and be fluent in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be on call 24 hours.
• Position requires ability to work submerged in water and mud and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate workers locating water lines and meters for repair and installation.
• Inspect work areas to determine work type and materials needed.
• Provide guidance for projects such as shoveling and probing.
• Operate backhoe and ditch diggers; supervise proper use by crew.
• Review job schedules and estimate man-hours for completion.
• Work with Field Supervisor to enforce safety policies.
• Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Participate in job training and corporate training programs.
• Comply with federal/state regulations and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
