The City of Sugar Land is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Worker Trainee in the Customer Service division of the Utilities Department. This role supports the water distribution and wastewater systems and develops skills through hands-on training while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• NIMS ICS-100.b, ICS-200, ICS-700.a within three months after hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist customer service utility techs in maintenance, diagnostics and repair of water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Assist with response to service requests as assigned.
• Develop basic knowledge of water distribution and wastewater systems.
