Job summary

The Southwest Florida Water Management District is hiring a WUP Compliance Technician for a hybrid role based in Tampa, FL. You will support the Water Use Permit Bureau with data submissions, respond to Demand Management calls, and ensure permits meet quality standards.

You will work in a team, manage permit data, review meter tests, and perform document scanning related to compliance. A range of credentials is described, with on-site and remote work balancing schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or higher)
• Two years related experience
• Four years related experience
• Five years related work experience
• Six years related work experience
• Associate's degree or higher OR High School diploma with years of experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher OR Associate's degree with years of experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor Water Use Permits for compliance
• Assist permittees with routine permit maintenance and data submittal
• Respond to Demand Management calls and public complaints
• Process letters for violations
• Quality assurance for issued water permits and report coding
• Review meter accuracy tests and manage Special Conditions on permits
• Scan documents related to Permit Compliance
