Job summary

Ceres Environmental Operations is seeking a Water Truck Driver to support field operations at on-site project locations. You will transport and apply water for dust control and site maintenance, reporting to the Field Supervisor.

This full-time temporary role requires a Class A or B CDL, at least two years of heavy equipment experience, and ability to work overtime. Safety and DOT compliance are essential. We provide housing and per diem when not local, plus competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements; Class B or A required.
• Proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment in active construction or disaster recovery environments.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate water truck safely to transport and distribute water across assigned project sites.
• Perform dust control activities by spraying roads, work zones, and debris areas to maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper working condition.
• Monitor water levels and refill the truck as needed to maintain continuous operations.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and site-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and crew members to prioritize watering schedules and locations.
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, maintenance, and daily activities.
• Identify and report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Support additional site activities as needed, including general labor tasks when not operating the truck.
