Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, seeks a water transporter/operator capable of safely handling a water tanker to control dust and assist with earthwork at construction sites. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, performing routine truck inspections, and following supervisor directions to maintain project progress.

The candidate should have a High school diploma or GED, a Class A CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, and prior water-truck experience on road projects.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
• Experience driving a water truck on roadway construction sites preferred.
• Knowledge of aggregate, asphalt, and construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill truck with water from approved sources and saturate roadways for compaction.
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and skid steers as directed.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections per DOT regulations and company guidelines.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor immediately.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials and site maintenance as required.
• Follow oral and written instructions from supervisors to complete tasks.
• Work day, swing, and night shifts; extend hours as needed.
