Job summary

Barnard Construction is seeking a Water Truck Driver to support construction projects in Deming and Santa Teresa, NM. The role requires operating water trucks, applying water for compaction and dust control, and completing safety checks and basic maintenance on equipment.

The candidate should have a valid CDL A with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement, familiarity with DOT regulations, and at least 2 years of fueling/oiling heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• At least 2 years of experience fueling and oiling heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to transport water for construction projects and to apply water for compaction and/or dust control on the construction site.
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation.
• Maintain daily maintenance of vehicle to keep it in proper and safe working order.
• Notify supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired.
• Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts.
• Understand safety and occupational hazards of work and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
