Job summary

Aqua is seeking a Maintenance Operator to operate and maintain water treatment facilities and related systems at our Iowa location. You will perform inspections, collect data, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting reliable water service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, technical training in mechanical/instrumentation, CDL Class C with Hazmat, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Overtime and emergency call-out readiness are required per job demands.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent, with technical school advanced study in mechanical and/or instrumentation control preferred.
• Have the technical, academic and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Be able to read, understand and accurately follow operating instructions both written and verbal.
• Mathematical ability to perform calculations for rates, dosages, and process controls.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in writing with ability to prepare technical reports.
• Be reliable and demonstrate proven performance in prior roles or schooling.
• Conscientious in safeguarding the public water supply.
• Computer literate and able to operate plant processes via computer systems.
• Waterworks license requirements: tests passed; license contingent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and related equipment.
• Perform inspections, tests, and data recording for regulatory compliance.
• Record measurements and prepare reports for regulatory entities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Be available for overtime and emergency call-out duties.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
