Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Maintenance Operator to operate and maintain our water treatment facilities and related equipment in Pennsylvania. The role requires a valid CDL with HazMat endorsement and the ability to obtain the license within the stated timeframes; overtime and emergency call-out are part of the job, with physical capacity to lift up to 75 pounds.

You must have a high school diploma, plus technical schooling preferred, and be able to read and follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Math skills for ratios and dosages.
• Strong written communication for technical reports.
• Reliable performance and safety awareness.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate plant controls.
• Waterworks license requirements; license testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and related equipment.
• Possess valid CDL with HazMat; obtain CDL within required time.
• Perform inspections, tests, and data collection.
• Record measurements and prepare reports for regulators.
• Collect and analyze water samples for compliance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Care for structures and grounds around facilities.
• Available for overtime and emergency call-out.
• Lift up to 75 pounds.
