Job summary

Kennedy Jenks Consultants is seeking a National Water Treatment Technical Expert to provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and client-facing support for complex water quality initiatives.

You will develop relationships with municipal and private-sector clients, lead pursuit strategies, and oversee process design for water projects, including treatment, reuse, and optimization, while supporting staff development across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in drinking water treatment engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; multiple-state licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical process and water quality expertise for municipal drinking water treatment, water reuse, and advanced purification.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; identify opportunities and lead pursuit strategies to grow the national water treatment practice.
• Process design in feasibility studies, facility plans, and pilot testing for complex water projects.
• Advise preliminary design including basis of design reports and early drawings and specs.
• Guide development and quality control of PFDs, design criteria, and P&ID drawings.
• Evaluate performance and optimize operations of existing facilities.
• Engage in water-focused professional organizations and present technical material at conferences.
• Collaborate with Applied Research Group on research projects.
