Job summary

Kennedy Jenks Consulting is seeking a National Water Treatment Technical Expert to provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and client-facing support for complex water quality and treatment initiatives.

The role includes leading process design, evaluating plant performance, and developing new work with municipal and private clients. A PE license and 15+ years in drinking water engineering are required, with a hybrid work model in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of drinking water treatment engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; CA/CO/FL/HI/OR/TX/VA/WA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance for municipal drinking water treatment, reuse, and purification projects.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new work for Kennedy Jenks' national water treatment practice.
• Oversee process design in feasibility studies, facility plans, and pilot testing.
• Review basis of design reports and preliminary drawings for complex water projects.
• Guide creation and QC of PFDs, design criteria, and P&IDs.
• Evaluate performance and optimize operations of existing facilities.
• Engage with professional organizations and present technical material.
