Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a SCADA Network Specialist to evaluate, install, test, support and maintain the PICS in the water treatment plant and related facilities. The role includes PLC/SCADA programming, HMI work, network and database management, and collaboration with staff and vendors; after-hours on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with PLC programming and/or SCADA system development indicating proficiency.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley ControlLogix (Studio 5000) software and VTScada software or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, test, support, maintain, and improve the PICS in the water treatment plant and related facilities.
• Provide training and direction to treatment plant staff on installed control systems.
• Work with City staff, other departments, and 3rd party firms on SCADA projects and data collection.
• Provide after-hours response to support outages and emergencies.
