Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a SCADA Network Specialist to support the Water Treatment PLC & SCADA systems. The role involves evaluating, installing, testing, and maintaining the Process Information Control System (PICS) across water facilities and dams.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and hands-on PLC/SCADA experience. Knowledge of VTScada and Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 is preferred. Hybrid work arrangement with after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical or related fields.
• Experience with PLC programming and/or SCADA System development.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix (Studio 5000) software.
• Knowledge of VTScada by Trihedral SCADA software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, test, support, maintain, and improve the PICS in water facilities.
• Manage SCADA software, PLC programming, and HMI programming operations.
• Provide training and direction to treatment plant staff on control systems.
• Collaborate with City departments and 3rd party firms on projects and data collection.
