Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a SCADA Network Specialist to evaluate, install, test, support, maintain, and improve the PICS across our water treatment plant, distribution system facilities, and dams. The role covers SCADA software management, PLC programming, and HMI programming for reliable operation.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, PLC/SCADA experience, and knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix Studio 5000 and VTScada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems demonstrating proficiency in automation technology
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix (Studio 5000) software and related packages
• Knowledge of VTScada by Trihedral SCADA software or comparable systems

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, test, support, maintain, and improve the PICS in the water treatment plant, distribution system facilities, and dams
• Provide training, consultation, and direction to treatment staff on SCADA systems
• Work with City departments and third-party firms on projects and data collection related to the SCADA system
• Assist after-hours support for software, hardware, network, and communication issues as needed
