Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus four years of progressive experience in water/wastewater operation; two years in plant management.
• ADEQ Grade 3 Water Treatment, Grade 2 Water Distribution, Grade 2 Wastewater Collections, and Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment or Tribal Utility Management Certification are required at time of application.
• Must maintain required Professional Development hours per ITCA and EPA for Safe Drinking Water Act.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise water/wastewater plant operations and staff (3–5 team members).
• Ensure compliance with State, MICS, TOGO regulations and EPA standards.
• Schedule samples, perform lab tests, and review reports for accuracy.
• Maintain equipment, read meters, and adjust pump settings to control distribution systems.
• Train staff, evaluate performance, procure parts, and ensure safety procedures.
