Job summary

South32 is seeking a Supervisor of Site Services Water Treatment at Hermosa, near Patagonia, Arizona. You will oversee water and wastewater treatment operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team of operations staff and contractors to deliver reliable capabilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in water treatment, plus 1+ year supervisory experience; SCADA experience; and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sanitary/Environmental/Chemical/Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in water treatment and pumping station ops/maintenance.
• 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Grade I Water Treatment Operator certification from ADEQ or equivalent.
• Ability to supervise and communicate technical information clearly.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for water facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with regulations and operate water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Lead operations staff and coordinate with other departments and contractors.
• Manage budgeting, procurement, and inventory for materials and equipment.
• Prepare monthly reports and maintain records.
