Job summary

The City of Sedona in Arizona is seeking a qualified wastewater supervisor to review staff work and oversee daily operations of the wastewater reclamation facility. You will help ensure reliable plant performance, safety, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with operations teams.

Experience with wastewater treatment and leadership, plus state certifications, are required, along with a high school diploma and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in wastewater treatment facilities including one year of lead responsibility.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by the training in Wastewater treatment.
• Possession of Grade IV wastewater certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality at time of hire.
• Possession of Grade II wastewater collection systems certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain an Arizona driver's license within two months of hire.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within six months of hire, a valid Arizona CDL driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review the work of staff responsible for the daily operations of the City wastewater reclamation facility; oversee operational functionality of the wastewater reclamation plant; oversee and participate in all work activities; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
