Job summary

GFT is hiring a Water Treatment Design Engineer to join our Water team in a hybrid office setting. You will design water treatment plants and pumping stations, perform hydraulic analyses, and optimize processes for municipal and industrial applications.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and cost-effective solutions. You should have 8+ years in water design, a PE license or progress toward it, and strong CAD capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of water discipline experience, especially water infrastructure projects.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Expert knowledge in treatment, filtration, hydraulics, and chemical feed.
• Experience with conventional and membrane filtration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design water treatment plants and pumping stations with CAD drawings.
• Optimize treatment processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Perform hydraulic analysis of plants, pumping stations, and piping; select pumps.
• Monitor lab data and chemical usage to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Lead feasibility studies, upgrade infrastructure, and manage projects to completion.
• Develop cost projections and supervise construction or commissioning of new tech.
• Monitor operator reports to refine treatment techniques.
• Serve as a technical specialist in conventional and advanced water treatment.
