Job summary

GFT is seeking a Water Treatment Design Engineer to join our water team in a hybrid office setting across multiple California and Denver-area locations. This role leads design, optimization, and management of water treatment and pumping facilities, with emphasis on compliance, safety, and cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will have PE licensure or the ability to obtain within 6–12 months, a strong background in conventional and advanced treatment, and 8+ years of water infrastructure

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 8+ years in water discipline, especially design of treatment/plants.

Responsibilities

• Design water treatment plants and pumping stations with CAD drawings.
• Optimize treatment processes and hydraulics to improve efficiency.
• Manage projects from feasibility through commissioning.
