Austin Water is seeking an Austin Water Treatment Operations & Maintenance Technician Associate to perform treatment plant operations and maintenance tasks. The role involves operating process control systems, managing chemical dosing, testing samples, and recording results.
You will work with a team to perform preventative and scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, and participate in safety programs, including confined-space entry and driver requirements. Growth through licensing is supported.
Competenze
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus one year of related work experience.
- Thirty semester hours may substitute for one year of experience.
- Must obtain appropriate TCEQ license within one year of employment.
Mansioni
- Assist with basic flow control, sampling, basic laboratory testing, and operation of pumps and related equipment.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, blowers, clarifiers, and valves.
- Monitor treatment processes and data from SCADA systems and maintain records.
- Operate process control systems and manage chemical dosing in water basins.
