Job summary

The Village of Palm Springs is seeking a dedicated Water Plant Operator to assist in operating and caring for water treatment plant operations during an assigned shift. Responsibilities include sampling, recording meter readings, chemical dosing, and operating pumps to meet state standards.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a Florida Class C Water Control Operator License to be obtained within 12 months.

• Strong math and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate water plant equipment to meet quality standards and state requirements.
• Take samples for laboratory analysis.
• Record meter readings and manage chemical dosing.
• Operate pumps and related equipment.
• Follow established operating procedures and adapt as needed.
• Reports reviewed by Lead Operator or Water & Sewer Superintendent.
