Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Water Operator I to support the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities in our community. You will perform routine testing, monitor production wells, and help maintain equipment to ensure safe and reliable water services.

The role requires flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with CDL preferred and water/wastewater licenses as applicable by site.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study required materials to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment and pumps in water treatment facilities.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring, and basic laboratory analyses.
• Documents plant performance, including flow, chemical usage, and dosage.
• Responds to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat, and secure.
• Provides customer service when necessary.
• Will work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and 24-hour on-call.
