The candidate should be willing to work all shifts, including weekends and on-call emergencies, and pursue required state certifications. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic process control knowledge, and familiarity with safety and regulatory practices.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study required material to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable.
• Completion of water or wastewater correspondence courses is desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings and 24-hour on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, and disinfection gear.
• Performs routine testing and monitoring of wells and unit processes.
• Documents treatment performance and chemical usage; records daily flow.
• Responds to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Keeps facilities clean, neat and secure; provides customer service when needed.
• Performs other duties; supports multiple tasks and SOPs.
• Willing to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings and on-call.
