Job summary

Inframark, Tennessee-based water services provider, seeks a Water Operator I to operate and maintain equipment in water treatment facilities. You will perform routine testing, monitor processes, and document plant performance, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The role requires willingness to obtain water/wastewater certification, experience with process control, and the ability to handle after-hours calls. Shift work includes evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures, and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Previous water or wastewater treatment experience desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment including valves, pumps, motors, and disinfection equipment.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and unit processes.
• Documents plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage.
• Responds to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Maintains clean, neat, and secure facilities.
• Provides customer service as needed.
