Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an O&M Tech-1 to operate a municipal water treatment plant, perform field tests and chemical dosing, and maintain equipment. The role mixes hands-on plant operations with office tasks and requires readiness for on-call emergencies.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy in data reporting, and adherence to regulatory guidelines while supporting continuous plant performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a water treatment environment is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment manually and via control panels.
• Conduct field tests and adjust chemical dosages for process control.
• Monitor operating conditions and report malfunctions.
• Prepare chemical solutions and manage supplies.
• Sample water and solids; perform routine lab tests.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Work 75% in operations and 25% in office environment.
• Drive company vehicle as needed and respond to emergencies.
