Job summary

Veolia's O&M Technician role supports operating and maintaining a municipal class-4, 17-MGD water treatment plant with ozone. The plant runs 24/7 with a variable schedule, and you will monitor processes, run field tests, and make unit adjustments.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, familiarity with water treatment methods, and an ability to collaborate in a team while following safety and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Experience within a water treatment environment is preferred.
• Certification as a water operator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment manually and through instrument panels and computer terminals.
• Performs field tests to pace chemical dosages for process control units.
• Monitors operating conditions and diagnoses basic problems requiring corrective action.
• Follows process control procedures and reports suspected malfunctions to the Manager.
• Prepares chemical solutions and monitors process chemical supplies.
• Samples water and solids according to schedule.
• Performs routine lab tests and instrument calibrations.
• Performs minor maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Operates vehicles for plant use and maintains a clean, safe work area.
