Job summary

Hires Group seeks a senior leader to head its regional water and wastewater practice. You will guide a growing team through complex projects from planning to delivery, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance while strengthening municipal client relationships.

You will mentor engineers and PMs, manage budgets and schedules, and oversee facilities design, distribution networks, pump stations, and regional planning initiatives within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 12+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional water and wastewater team, overseeing complex infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.

Lead regional water and wastewater projects and guide a growing team within a firm known for long‑term partnerships and technical excellence. Oversee treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, pump stations, lift stations, and regional planning initiatives.

The job:

• Lead the regional water and wastewater team, overseeing complex infrastructure projects from initial planning through final delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients while serving as a trusted seller/doer who moves critical community projects forward.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers and project managers.
• Direct project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful outcomes.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater work, including treatment facility design, distribution and collection systems, pump stations, lift stations, asset management, and regional planning.
• Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
