Water Treatment Chemical Sales Representative

Job Overview

A progressive national water treatment company is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Chemical Sales Representative to manage sales and service of water treatment chemicals and related equipment in the Austin to San Antonio territory. The Sales Rep can reside anywhere within this territory and will focus on both new and existing customers across manufacturing, commercial, and institutional markets, primarily dealing with chemicals used in boiler, cooling tower, and closed-loop systems. The role emphasizes new business development with minimal overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage existing accounts daily
• Develop new sales through cold calling and networking
• Maintain effective communication with clients and management
• Stay informed about industry trends through training and online programs
• Manage the technical support team when assigned

Compensation and Benefits

The starting package ranges from $105,000 to $125,000 annually, complemented by an excellent commission plan on new sales, a company car, expenses, a home-based office setup (cell phone and laptop), and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a technical field is highly preferred; industry experience may suffice
