OEM End User Sales Representative - Midwest

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an OEM End User Representative, you will leverage your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people globally. Your contributions will include:

  1. Establishment and Achievement of Objectives: Manage your territory effectively, understand sales goals, and develop self-directed sales strategies with managerial support. Plan and execute tactics to meet quarterly and annual objectives, recommending adjustments as needed.
  2. Sales and Marketing: Use the sales process to achieve results, applying 3M’s brand, innovation, and value propositions to maximize revenue. Demonstrate social selling tools, train customers on products, and represent 3M's products and services. Proactively report market conditions, competition, and product performance to your supervisor.
  3. Coordination and Planning: Manage your time and resources efficiently for effective coverage, communication, and responsibilities.
  4. Leadership: Exhibit leadership with accounts, prospects, and peers. Accept direction, lead as appropriate, and foster collaboration. May involve training and mentoring other sales reps.
  5. Development: Commit to continuous learning about the market, products, applications, and sales skills.
Additional Requirements

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which involves pre-employment and ongoing review of your motor vehicle history.

Your Skills and Expertise

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of field/channel sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred qualifications include experience in the electrical/OEM industry, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and proficiency with computer tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.

Work Location and Travel

Remote-based in the Midwest, with up to 40% domestic travel. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Additional Information

Legal work authorization without sponsorship is required. Compensation ranges from $113,752 to $139,031, including base salary and potential incentives. Benefits include health, dental, vision, savings accounts, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans. For more details, visit 3M Benefits.
