Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Water Tank Inspector to perform ongoing inspections of water storage tanks and support construction management on new projects in Fairfax, VA. This full-time role requires hands-on field work, safety awareness, and the ability to travel to site locations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, at least five years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalency required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant tank inspection/building experience.
• Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) required.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
• Willingness to train and learn; overtime and daily travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing water tanks and perform coating inspection tasks.
• Assist with writing reports on tank condition inspections.
• Inspect third-party facilities on water storage tanks and manage construction activities.
• Prepare sketches and data for engineer changes; maintain field diaries and reports.
• Communicate with Owner and project team; keep stakeholders informed on field conditions.
