Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Baltimore seeks a Water Tank Engineer to join the Water & Wastewater Facilities Group. You will plan, design, inspect, and rehabilitate water storage tanks and related infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, a Maryland P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel for field work and site inspections

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis of water storage tanks (elevated, ground, standpipe)
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports
• Prepare design documents, specs, cost estimates, and calculations
• Develop rehabilitation strategies for tank infrastructure (coatings, repairs, upgrades)
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with standards (AWWA, OSHA, codes)
• Assist permitting and construction administration
• Support business development activities (proposals, presentations)
