Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Water Department, Plant Operations Division, seeks a Water Systems Supervisor to lead, supervise, and coordinate the repair and maintenance of equipment at the city’s water and wastewater plants, including the dryer facility. The role requires coordinating activities with other divisions and providing staff assistance to management.

It involves supervising daily operations, ensuring effective work order management, and maintaining records while supporting on-call emergency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of responsible maintenance experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Drug screen and physical screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, oversee and prioritize day-to-day work orders and staff actions.
• Coordinate maintenance for potable water, wastewater, and related systems.
• Prepare specifications for equipment and contracts; requisition materials.
• Inspect and advise on installation and repair of systems and equipment.
• Maintain and operate diesel or tri-fuel engines and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other divisions and agencies; report on progress.
