Job summary

Dallas Water Utilities seeks a Supervisor-WTP to lead and monitor all treatment plant operations, directing licensed operators and ensuring safe, compliant service for the city.

You will hire and train staff, manage budgets, troubleshoot plant performance, and ensure compliance with state regulations, including TCEQ drinking-water standards. This 24/7 role requires leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of lead work, team training or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Current Class B Surface Water license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
• For positions at Water Purification Plant: Current Class B Surface Water license from the TCEQ.
• Must have own transportation and be available 24/7/365.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the licensed operator-in-charge per state regulations, providing leadership and direction for treatment plant operations.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; manage equipment, tools, and chemicals; handle personnel issues.
• Develop long-range plans and budgets; allocate resources and oversee treatment operations.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with treatment, production, and delivery methods; supervise plant staff in repairs.
• Oversee process control and laboratory analyses to ensure regulatory compliance and safe services.
• Address grievances and implement improvements; coordinate staff meetings to ensure reliability and capacity.
