Job summary

The City of Webster is seeking a Water Operator to ensure reliable operation of the water supply. You will operate and monitor water plants and distribution systems, perform related maintenance, and interact with City staff and residents.

Essential duties include inspecting new construction and coordinating with departments while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. A Texas Class C Water Operator License is required, with a Driver's License also necessary; a Wastewater License is

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Texas Class C Water Operator License.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
• Preferred Class C Wastewater Operator License from TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the City's water plants and water distribution systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform maintenance on water plants and distribution systems as needed.
• Inspect new construction and coordinate with other City employees and citizens.
• Interface with the public to respond to questions and issues.
