The City of Webster's Public Works Department is hiring for a Water Operator to ensure efficient operation of the water supply by operating and monitoring water plants and distribution systems. Responsibilities include maintenance, inspections of new construction, and coordination with City staff and citizens.
Minimum qualifications include 1–3 years of relevant experience, a Class C Water Operator license from TCEQ, and a Texas Class C driver’s license.
The City of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Water Operator. This position ensures the efficient operation of the City's water supply. This is accomplished by operating and monitoring the water plants and water distribution systems. Other duties may include maintenance of the water plants and water distribution systems, inspecting new construction and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
This is an essential services position, and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens. Federal Emergency Management [FEMA] training may be required within six (6) months of hire.
Conditional offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory results of pre-employment drug testing, a physical examination, and a background check.
