Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead water, wastewater and groundwater projects across our Water offices.

The role covers planning, design, construction and PM of municipal utilities, including drinking water sources, distribution, storage, wastewater, and water treatment. The successful candidate will guide multi-disciplinary teams, apply smart water systems, and mentor staff while driving projects from development through construction, with a strong

Qualifications

BS in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
At least 10 years of relevant experience.
PE license; Illinois PE preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
IL/IN/MI/WI water/wastewater connections network.
Regional expertise in water supply, treatment, storage, and/or distribution.
Active participation in professional organizations.
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Strong client relationship skills.
Excellent design team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead team delivery of drinking water projects from design to construction.
Prepare master planning reports and documentation for grants/loans.
Act as subject matter expert and present market papers.
Integrate One Water paradigm and smart water systems.
Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation with other engineering tools.
Collaborate with multiple disciplines to produce plans and specs.
Assist in marketing opportunities and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
Provide leadership and marketing support during project procurement and execution.
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
Assist with permitting, property acquisition, and stakeholder involvement.
Mentor staff and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
