Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform onsite service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair at customer locations in Milpitas, CA. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and high-quality service across mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, manage parts inventory, and document activities while collaborating with teams and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain CDL Class A or Class B with endorsements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to secure required customer access credentials and clearances such as TWIC and DISA.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
• Perform field service activities including inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and commissioning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, diesel, and related equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain service records, inspection reports, and inventory documentation.
• Identify and resolve safety concerns involving company and customer-owned equipment.
• Build positive customer relationships through professional communication and service excellence.
