Greenville Water is seeking an Operations Technician to perform daily operations related to installation, maintenance and repair of water system components under supervision. The role sits in the Field Operations department and emphasizes safe, efficient handling of equipment and materials.

Responsibilities include installing pipes, maintaining hydrants and meters, locating infrastructure, and recording work activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of construction or plumbing experience.
• Must have First Aid and CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform water system installation, maintenance and repair tasks.
• Locate valve boxes, water mains and meter boxes as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks and excavating tools, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of work performed and assist with inventory.
