Job summary

Nexus Water Group’s South Carolina operation is seeking a Field Technician I- Dig Crew to help keep water and wastewater systems running safely and reliably for the 150+ communities we serve in the state.

The role performs routine checks, maintenance, and repairs, responds to customer calls, and supports operations in field conditions. Requires a HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with eligibility to obtain required certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in water or wastewater operations, maintenance, or customer service.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to operate field and heavy equipment (backhoe/track-hoe) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of the facilities; observe and diagnose issues.
• Operate belt presses and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with water and sewer line repairs and new line installation.
• Inspect pumps, motors, valves and other equipment; troubleshoot problems.
• Respond to customer service calls and service disruptions.
• Locate underground infrastructure before excavation to prevent damage.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls for leaks or failures.
