Job summary

Columbus Water Works is seeking a Field Svcs Technician I in Columbus, GA. This full-time role requires operating various machinery and performing maintenance on a water distribution system under supervision.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, performing manual labor, coordinating with team members, and handling on-call duties on a rotating schedule. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
• 1 year construction or pipeline experience preferred; CDL preferred.
• Ability to obtain Confined Space Entry, Trench Excavation, Flagging, CPR and First Aid certifications within one year.

Responsibilities

• Load materials, supplies, and equipment for daily assignments.
• Clean, fuel, and service vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Operate rodding, tapping, boring, and other team equipment with supervision.
• Coordinate with tradesman and foreman to complete jobs.
• Perform heavy manual labor and maintain safety standards.
