The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) invites applications for engineers to join the Water Office within the Water Supply Division. You will review wastewater plans and reuse applications, provide technical input in public/internal settings, and help safeguard public health and Texas water resources.
The role offers standard business hours and opportunities for growth in a state agency. Candidates must possess a Texas PE license or meet Engineer I–V progression criteria with
Qualificações
- Texas Professional Engineer's license is required or must meet progression criteria for Engineer I–V.
- At least 1 year of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure for Engineer II/III paths.
- Engineer IV/V require more years of licensure-experience as specified.
- Post-licensure experience and capability to work in the Water Office environment are expected.
Responsabilidades
- Review and approve plans for public and private wastewater treatment and collection systems per 30 TAC Chapter 217.
- Support the beneficial reuse program under 30 TAC Chapters 210 and 321P; review reuse applications and perform analyses.
- Communicate about engineering programs; present plans, provide briefings, and represent the Division in meetings.
- Support water quality homeland security program from technical and administrative perspectives.
- Provide complex technical expertise to management on engineering matters and evaluate state/federal rules and guidance.
