Job summary

Parsons in Houston offers a Spring/Summer 2027 Intern Program for Civil/Environmental Engineering students. You will assist with planning, design, and construction phases on municipal water, stormwater, and wastewater projects, and you will work alongside experienced engineers both in office and field settings.

The role supports a hybrid work structure with some required office and field days, and relocation or housing assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Junior, Senior or Graduate school level candidates preferred.
• Some basic CAD software design training or ability to learn quickly.
• Solid communication skills.
• Strong aptitude for learning.

Responsibilities

• Learn about design on a variety of civil, potable water, wastewater, storm/drainage infrastructure projects, including planning studies, field conditions assessments, preliminary design, final design, and office and field services.
• Learn from and support senior design engineers on a variety of projects, including task management.
• Develop skills for design engineering for municipal projects.
• Participate in collaborative team efforts for various projects in Texas and potentially other states.
• Develop CAD design skills utilizing various software.
• Assist experienced engineers in various project design work.
