Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Water System Project Engineer to lead the construction, coordination, and commissioning of large industrial water reclamation systems for a premier semiconductor fab. The role blends on-site supervision with design reviews and project management in an office setting.

Ideal candidates have a 3+ year background in industrial water/wastewater systems, strong problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex concepts for operators and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Water Resources, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial water/wastewater systems (UPW, DI, RO, or wastewater treatment).
• Hands-on experience in construction supervision, engineering project management, or facility design/operation.

Responsibilities

• Construction & Project Execution: coordinate, supervise, and drive field construction, piping installation, and commissioning of new fab water systems.
• Schedule & Quality Control: own construction schedules, field inspection checklists, and quality control protocols to ensure ultra-high-purity standards.
• Cross-Organizational Coordination: act as the central engineering link between local trade partners, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
• Commissioning Support: participate in system start-up, pressure/leak testing, and functional testing of pumps, filtration systems, and water treatment equipment.
• Contractor Management: develop and align local subcontractors to ensure safe and compliant field execution.
