Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Water System Project Engineer for New FAB Construction to lead the field execution of UPW, wastewater, and reclamation systems at our Phoenix facility. The role balances hands-on site coordination with engineering design review and project management in an office setting.

You will drive construction schedules, ensure quality to ultra-high-purity standards, and coordinate with local partners, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Water Resources, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial water/wastewater systems (UPW, DI, RO, or wastewater treatment).
• Hands-on construction supervision, project management, or facility design/operation.
• Proactive, self-driven with ability to solve bottlenecks independently; strong communication.
• Able to work extended hours, outdoor/in harsh conditions, and at elevation/confined spaces.
• Structured technical training exposure at headquarters in Taiwan.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and drive field construction, piping installation, and commissioning of new fab water systems.
• Own construction schedules, inspection checklists, and quality control per ultra-high-purity standards.
• Serve as central engineering link between partners, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
• Participate in system start-up, pressure/leak testing, and functional testing of pumps and water treatment equipment.
• Support development and alignment of local subcontractors to meet safety and engineering requirements.
