Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer in the United States (Maine, Augusta) to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy and support customers through pre-bid discussions and technical clarifications.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in applications
Qualifications
- Technically sharp engineer with strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate inquiries and define scope for high-purity water solutions.
- Develop conceptual designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations.
- Prepare cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives.
- Research equipment options based on technical and commercial factors.
- Lead technical reviews and turnover meetings with downstream teams.
