Job summary

The City of Syracuse seeks a Dispatch/Control Center Operator for the Water Department to monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and relay information to field crews. You will maintain logs, operate the center’s radio and phone systems, and coordinate emergency responses with internal staff.

• Two years in municipal dispatch or related field (open competitive).
• Experience operating public safety communications systems is preferred.
• Ability to maintain logs and record data accurately.

• Monitor all equipment and alarms in the control center.

• Relay information to field crews and coordinates with departments.
